Our Story
Don Lovett founded ProjectBits Consulting 20 years ago with a clear conviction: a professional should prevent problems, not just fix them.
Don’s career started in the accounting trenches — corporate consolidation work for Fortune 500 companies where he earned his CPA and Certified Internal Auditor credentials. Ten years at KPMG sharpened that foundation into real consulting discipline, delivering results for organizations ranging from 50-person Silicon Valley startups to global enterprises like AT&T, Southwestern Bell, Telmex, Logitech, and Brocade.
Along the way, Don built a rare dual skill set — finance and technology. A BBA in Accounting, an MBA, a graduate certificate in Software Quality Engineering from UT, and credentials in project management (PMP), IT security (SSCP), and ITIL service management mean he speaks both languages fluently. That ITIL foundation shapes how we run every client engagement — documented runbooks, defined escalation paths, and repeatable monthly close processes that don’t depend on any single person. That’s why the ProjectBits team can serve as both your CFO and your CIO.
